Agave potatorum
cv. 'Kichiokan'
The species is known as the Butterfly Agave for the shape
of the leaves resemble butterfly wings.
| Uses: | This Agave is an outstanding container plant because of its smaller size, beautiful colour and regular proportions. |
| Flowers: | May bloom at maturity with a tall spike. |
| Growth Habit: | A small Agave cultivar that is usually solitary and stemless it forms an open spreading symmetrical rosette of pale grey green broadly oval leaves. Leaf margins have rusty coloured teeth and a long sharp terminal spine that contrasts well with the pale leaf colour. |
| Growing Guide: | Plant in full sun to light shade and irrigate only occasionally in coastal gardens to regularly in hotter inland gardens. Protect from frost to avoid disfiguring the foliage. |
