Aloe boylei
Aloe boylei is an unusual deciduous Aloe that is stemless
but forms a spreading group from offshoots at the base.
| Uses: | It forms an excellent focal point in the garden but due to its massive stem base, it should preferably not be planted close to any buildings. |
| Flowers: | Up to three flower stems may arise from a mature rosette in summer and bloom with salmon-pink green tipped flowers. |
| Growth Habit: | Broad deeply channelled dark green leaves have numerous oblong white spots on the underside and a white margin with small soft teeth. Leaves are deciduous in winter dying back completely. |
| Growing Guide: | Grow in well drained fertile soil and give protection from the hottest sun. Cold hardy. |
