Aloe chabaudii
A clustering succulent rosette that is generally stemless
to about 75cm occasionally with a short stem spreads by
offshoots
to form large dense groups.
| Uses: | Ideal for rockeries and general landscaping and looks fantastic in a decorative pot. It is a great resource for sunny, hot spots. |
| Flowers: | The erect multi-branched flower stems form a spreading panicle with multiple racemes of deep red flowers in winter. Orange or yellow forms also occur. |
| Growth Habit: | Glaucous green leaves have irregular white streaks or spots that are more frequent on young plants have a narrow white margin studded with small teeth and form a typical rosette of upright leaves. In hot dry conditions the leaf colour may become reddish tinged and the rosette close in. |
| Growing Guide: | Planted in well-drained soil in a warm sheltered sunny and frost free position it is an attractive Aloe grown in a group and a very pretty sight when in flower to brighten a winter garden. |
