Aloe conifera

Aloe conifera is native the mountains of Madagascar.

Uses: Ideal for rockeries and general landscaping and looks fantastic in a decorative pot.
Flowers: A distinctive cone-like inflorescence appears in winter.
Growth Habit: Forms a rosette of glaucous grey/green, succulent leaves that become narrower closer to the tip.  Height 40cm – width 40cm.  They have many purple spines on the leaf edges and smaller ones on the leaf underside.
Growing Guide: Protect from heavy frost.  Plant in free draining soil in full sun or light shade.  Minimal watering required in winter.  Drought tolerant.
