Aloe mitriformis
'Gold Tooth Aloe'
Plants develop trailing stems with offshoots branching freely to form dense groups.
| Uses: | Ideal for rockeries and general landscaping and looks fantastic in a decorative pot. It is a great resource for sunny, hot spots. |
| Flowers: | The inflorescence is usually branched to 45cm cm with three globular racemes of red flowers in summer. |
| Growth Habit: | Upturned rosettes are15-18cm across and up to 30cm tall. The thick fleshy glaucous green leaves are broadly tapered slightly keeled with yellow teeth along the margins ending with a sharp spine. |
| Growing Guide: | Grow in sandy soil in a warm protected frost-free position. Will tolerate light shade in hot summer areas. Usual growing time is winter when it will benefit from being w atered sparingly whilst growing. |
