Aloe rauhii

This species originates from Madagascar and is a miniature
clustering species.   Aloe rauhii is named after Pr. Werner Rauh
who was professor of Botany at the University of Heidelberg (Germany).

Uses: Ideal for rockeries and general landscaping and looks fantastic in a decorative pot.
Flowers: In autumn blooms on a tall slender inflorescence with thirty or more pendulous tubular red flowers making a long colourful floral display.
Growth Habit: Rosettes to 15 cm in diameter and spreads by producing offsets. Tapered leaves 6-8 cm long are green spotted and mottled with white and with small white marginal teeth.
Growing Guide: Grow in fertile free draining soil in a warm position; water during the growing season.  Grow in light shade as it develops bronze purplish stress colours when grown in full sun. Protect from frost.
