Aloe reitzii
'Reitz' Aloe'

This aloe is endemic to a small area in north-eastern S.A.
where the rain falls during the hot summer months and fires and
frost may occur in other seasons.

Uses: Ideal for rockeries and general landscaping and looks fantastic in a decorative pot.
Flowers: This Aloe flowers in late summer with spectacular flower colour.  The inflorescence has 3 or 4 branches with tall racemes of pendulous red buds that open creamy yellow giving a bicolour effect.
Growth Habit: Generally grows as a single stemless rosette with long up curving thick succulent glaucous green leaves with reddish brown teeth along the margins.
Growing Guide: Grow in fertile free draining soil in a warm position; water during the growing season.
