Campanula punctata x trachelium
'Sarastro'
'Sarastro' has a compact habit with long flowering and reflowering
large, deep purple bells. Though it’s purported to be a hybrid between
C. punctata and C. trachelium, it is not a runner,
but a moderate spreader and is a wonderful addition to the garden.
| Uses: | This compact mounding groundcover works well as a feature in the landscape, beautiful on mass. |
| Flowers: | Abundant deep purple bell shaped flowers standing out above the foliage. |
| Growth Habit: | Compact spreading groundcover getting to a height of 65cm. An excellent ground cover, 'Sarastro' provides a bold river of purple where ever planted. |
| Growing Guide: | Ideally suited to full sun positions with the need to be dormant for growth and optimum flowering. Plants should be dried out slightly in between waterings. |
