Heuchera hybrid
'Chocolate Ruffles'

A clumping perennial which forms a dense carpet of beauty
with its scalloped leaves and fantastic highlights of colours
throughout the veins and foliage.

Uses: Provides a pretty display of colour when planted in borders, perennial garden beds, containers and along pathways or against walls.  Great for contrasting foliage colour and texture in the garden.
Flowers: Tiny, white, bell-shaped flowers in open, airy panicles are borne on slender, wiry, deep-red stems extending well above the mound of leaves, typically to a height of 45 -60cm in late spring to early summer.
Growth Habit: Foliage is deeply cut, rounded, long-petioled leaves (7-8cm wide) which emerge coppery-pink, but mature to a dark chocolate to deep purple. Young foliage has deeply ruffled edges which loosen up with age.  Height 30 to 50cm.  Width 30-50cm.
Growing Guide: Performs best in part shade avoiding the hot afternoon sun and in a well drained soil.
