Strelitzia reginae var. juncea
'Leafless Bird of Paradise'
A striking form of Strelitzia producing a dramatic floral
display carried above a bold accent plant. The name
is derived from the rush-like appearance formed by
the clump of leafless stems.
| Uses: | Ideal as a feature plant suiting many styles of garden or containers. Equally as effective mass planted. |
| Flowers: | Orange and blue flowers are identical to those of Strelitzia reginae, bird and butterfly attracting, long lasting cut flowers. |
| Growth Habit: | Clump-forming spreading to 1.5m wide with grey-green leafless stems reaching 1.5m high. |
| Growing Guide: | Tolerates a variety of conditions including drought and neglect once established, yet can also thrive in moist tropical gardens. Suited to full sun or part shade, low maintenance. |
